LeadershipThe Fort Worth/Tarrant County A&M Club is governed by the Club's Board of Directors. See below for how the Board is comprised of officers and directors. The Board serves as the policy-making body of Club and is also the representative forum for the membership in all matters relating to the Club. The Club is represented on the Association of Former Student's Leadership Council via the Club's President. The Board is elected annually, with elections conducted in December. Board members are nominated for specific positions via the Club's Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee begins meeting in October of each year to put together a slate of proposed officers/directors. Officers and Board members are nominated due to their volunteer/leadership involvement with the Club. The Board conducts meetings on a monthly basis. President - leads the Board and the Club. Serves as liaison to Association of Former Students (AFS). Coordinates final decisions on financial and web design decisions. Serves as an ex-officio member of all Club committees. Serves as the chair of the website committee.
President-Elect - serves as the Coach's Night or Muster chairman (at the discretion of the President) and assists the president as needed.
Past President - serves as the liaison to any Club Special Interest Group (SIG). Assist the President in any capacity required. Serves as an ex-officio member of any Club committee. Coordinates the distribution of the Club's "Enews" (electronic newsletter). Serves as a member of the website committee.
Secretary - maintains all Club correspondence and records (including Board minutes and roster of Club officers and committee chairs). Coordinates all acknowledgments for scholarship donations to the Club.
Treasurer - maintains all Club financial records. Coordinates the compilation of an annual budget for the Club with input from each Board member. Maintains records required for Club's reporting to the IRS.
Vice President / Programs - Serves as teh Coach's Night or Muster chairman (at the discretion of the President) and co-facilitates any fund raising efforts with the president-elect.
2nd Vice President / Programs - assists the Vice President / Programs and the President elect with Coach's Night and Muster planning, preparation and implementation.
Vice President Scholarships - serves as the Scholarship Chair. Coordinates the Club's scholarship application distribution and review of submitted applications. Coordinates interviews for the finalist candidates and coordinates all correspondence to scholarship applicants. Presents scholarship recognition to recipients at the annual Coach's Night. Coordinates with TAMU Financial Aid offices for the disbursement of scholarship funds.
Vice President Membership - serves as the Membership Chair. Coordinates the membership drive and handles the annual invoicing process. Maintains the Club's confidential membership database.
Vice President Activities - serves as the Activities Chair. Coordinates the Club's monthly activities (excluding Muster and Coach's Night); this includes Happy Hours, "Aggie Night" activities and community service activities. Works with Club SIGs to ensure there are not "overlap" or duplicate activities.
Vice President Public Relations - serves as the Public Relations Chair. Coordinates the Club's bimonthly newsletter. Serves as the editor of the newsletter. Coordinates the publication of the Muster and Coach's Night programs. Facilitates all communications and press releases to outside organizations. Serves as a member of the website committee.
Vice President Solicitations - serves as the Solicitations Chair. Coordinates the solicitations for all items for the annual Silent Auction (held in conjunction with the Coach's Night). Coordinates the Silent Auction set-up and disbursement of items (post auction) and coordinates all tax-acknowledgement correspondence to donors and buyers. Serves as an ex-officio member of the Coach's Night Committee.
Directors at Large - Three "at-large" directors serve as advisors to the Board. Coordinate speakers for the Club's luncheon series. Assist with facilitating major Club events such as Coach's Night and Muster, as well as with community service projects.
